Chief Minister’s Jan Sunwai: CM Smt. Rekha Gupta assures time-bound redressal of citizens’ issues
New Delhi(The Uttam Hindu): The Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Rekha Gupta, on Tuesday met residents of Delhi at the Chief Minister’s Jan Seva Sadan on Raj Niwas Marg during the Jan Sunwai. Citizens from various parts of the Capital presented their problems, complaints and suggestions directly before the Chief Minister.
Listening attentively to each grievance, Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta issued strict instructions to officials of the concerned departments to ensure prompt and time-bound resolution. The Chief Minister reiterated the Delhi Government’s commitment to good governance, transparency and swift redressal of citizens’ issues.
Emotional and cordial atmosphere during the Jan Sunwai
A warm and emotional moment was witnessed when young children welcomed the Chief Minister by presenting flowers. Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta interacted with the children and extended best wishes for their bright future.
Several citizens also expressed gratitude for the resolution of issues previously raised, stating that their complaints were acted upon promptly through the Jan Sunwai mechanism. Citizens noted that timely action has further strengthened public trust in the Delhi Government.
Emphasis on good governance and public participation
Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta stated that direct engagement with citizens through Jan Sunwai makes governance more sensitive, accountable and effective. The Chief Minister underlined that Jan Sunwai is not merely a forum for complaints, but a strong platform for participation, trust and solution-oriented governance. Public expectations form the basis of policies and administrative functioning, the Chief Minister said.
The Chief Minister further stated that the Delhi Government is working with public interest at its core. Taking every problem seriously, considering every suggestion, and ensuring timely solutions for every citizen remain the government’s highest priorities. Officials were directed to ensure regular follow-up of all cases received during Jan Sunwai, so that no resident of Delhi faces inconvenience.
