CM Rekha Gupta boosts cow welfare: Delhi Gaushalas get lease extensions, biogas push

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Today, at the Chief Minister's Jan Seva Sadan, reaffirming the commitment to the service and protection of the sacred cow (Gomata), certificates for lease extension agreements were presented to Delhi's gaushalas (cow shelters), and financial assistance was disbursed by Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta for the establishment of biogas infrastructure.
In the first phase, the focus has been placed on 10 modern gaushalas, where the care, protection and welfare of destitute cows will be ensured.
This initiative represents an extension of our cultural consciousness and compassion. In accordance with the set targets, 40 gaushalas will soon be fully equipped with all necessary amenities, thereby giving a comprehensive scope to this campaign dedicated to service, energy generation from cow dung, and sanitation.
