New Delhi/Kanpur (The Uttam Hindu): Another suspect in the Delhi car bomb blast case, Dr. Mohammad Arif, has been detained. Arif was studying cardiology. The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) arrested him in Kanpur. It has been revealed that after rigorous questioning of Dr. Parvez, the ATS raided Kanpur and took Mohammad Arif into custody. Meanwhile, a joint team of the NIA and ATS left for Delhi late last night with Dr. Parvez.

The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) detained Dr. Parvez on Tuesday evening. He is the brother of suspected terrorist Dr. Shaheen Siddiqui. According to police sources, three keypad phones were recovered from Dr. Parvez during the investigation. Investigating agencies also recovered several electronic gadgets and sharp weapons from Dr. Parvez, raising suspicions that he may be a key player in the terrorist module.

Dr. Shaheen Siddiqui was arrested during the busting of a terrorist module in Faridabad. Investigating agencies recovered approximately 2,900 kilograms of explosives during a major operation on November 10th. This same terrorist module is linked to the Delhi car bombings. The powerful explosion occurred at approximately 6:52 p.m. on Monday evening near the Red Fort, one of India's most iconic monuments.

Currently, the investigation into the terror attack is being handled by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), which was handed over the investigation by the Union Home Ministry.

Initial investigations have revealed that the car was fitted with a high-end improvised explosive device (IED). Investigating teams are now trying to determine the source of the explosives and the movements of Omar Un Nabi in the days leading up to the blast.

Terrorist Umar Un Nabi has been killed in the Delhi car bombings. DNA testing has confirmed that the person who carried out the Red Fort bombings was Umar Un Nabi.
