Delhi blast investigation deepens as police find three 9mm cartridges

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A new revelation has emerged in the car bombing near the Red Fort in Delhi. During the investigation, three cartridges were found at the scene: two live cartridges and one empty shell.
Delhi Police sources stated that three 9mm-caliber cartridges were recovered from the blast site, which are prohibited for civilian use. These cartridges are typically possessed by armed forces or those with special permission. Sources also stated that no pistol or any part of the cartridge was recovered from the scene. While cartridges were found, the weapon used to fire them was not present.
Delhi Police sources said that after the cartridges were found, the cartridges of the police staff present at the scene were checked, but none of their cartridges were missing, ruling out the possibility that these cartridges belonged to personnel on duty. This situation has presented a new challenge for the police. The police are trying to determine how these cartridges came to be there.
Earlier, new details emerged from Nuh, Haryana, where terrorist Umar Muhammad, who was killed in the blast, was seen roaming around for several hours before the explosion. Investigating agencies have learned that terrorist Umar had rented a room for 10 days with the help of Shoaib, an electrician working at Al Falah University.
Following the blast, teams from the Delhi Police, the NIA, and the CIA Nuh raided the house. Investigative teams are conducting raids in Nuh and surrounding areas to identify anyone who may have interacted with Umar or had any connection to the explosive device.
