Bomb scare in Delhi: Threat calls target four schools and Axis Bank

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Bomb threats were reported at four schools and a bank in different parts of the capital, prompting a swift response from police and security agencies. Search operations were launched at all the locations after threatening messages were received during the morning hours.


The threats were reported between 8:00 am and 9:30 am at Army Public School in Delhi Cantt, Salwan Public School in Mayur Vihar, Meera Public School in Janakpuri, Rabia Girls School in Ballimaran and an Axis Bank branch at Statesman House on Barakhamba Road. As a precautionary measure, school authorities evacuated students and staff, while bomb disposal squads and sniffer dog teams carried out detailed inspections. The bank premises were also thoroughly checked.


Police officials said that no suspicious items had been found at any of the locations so far, but security checks were continuing. Authorities have started an investigation to trace the source of the threats, and a cyber team has been assigned to identify the sender of the messages. People have been advised not to pay attention to rumours and to rely only on official updates.
