Delhi Car Blast Case: NIA Forms Special Investigation Team Led by ADG Vijay Sakhare

Faridabad (The Uttam Hindu): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has formed a special team to investigate the Delhi car blast case. According to sources, the team will be headed by ADG Vijay Sakhare. The Union Home Ministry has officially handed over the probe to the NIA. As per reports, a ‘Special 10’ team has been constituted for the investigation, which includes an IG, two DIGs, three SPs, and other DSP-rank officers. A meeting between the NIA Director General and the Intelligence Bureau (IB) Chief was also held on Wednesday to review the developments.
Sources further revealed that the NIA team will take custody of all case diaries related to the Jaish module from the Jammu & Kashmir, Delhi, and Haryana police. Meanwhile, after the exposure of a terror module in Faridabad, the Al-Falah University has come under the scanner. Three suspected terrorists linked to this university were earlier arrested, and a large quantity of explosives was recovered from them. Expanding the investigation, agencies have detained six more individuals for questioning.
Investigation agencies have so far interrogated more than 50 people associated with Al-Falah University. These include faculty members who worked with Dr. Muzammil, university students, and the principal of the medical college. The Faridabad police are currently interrogating six detainees to determine their connection with the suspected terror module. Authorities suspect a strong link between the Faridabad terror module and the Delhi blast case.
One of the key suspects in the Delhi blast, Umar, was reportedly a lecturer at Al-Falah University. The blast occurred shortly after 2,900 kilograms of explosives were seized in Faridabad on Monday, along with the arrest of seven suspects. The agencies are now investigating both incidents together to uncover any coordinated terror network.
