New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): In the wake of the Red Fort blast, security agencies across Delhi have gone on high alert, prompting authorities to issue a strict travel advisory for passengers. The Delhi Police have urged all travelers to arrive early at railway stations, metro stations, and airports to avoid delays due to heightened security checks.

According to the advisory, passengers should reach railway stations at least one hour before train departure, metro stations 20 minutes before the scheduled metro time, and airports at least three hours before flight departure. The instructions aim to ensure smooth security screening, avoid last-minute rush, and maintain overall safety during travel.

Police said that the enhanced security is being enforced at all major railway stations, metro stations, and airports across the national capital. The move comes to facilitate systematic checks and passenger convenience amid increased surveillance and preventive measures.

The advisory follows the terror attack near the Red Fort on Monday evening, which left 12 people dead and 27 critically injured. A new CCTV footage has surfaced, showing the prime suspect Dr. Umar Nabi entering Delhi from Badarpur Border Toll Plaza and later walking near a mosque close to Ramlila Maidan.

The footage reportedly shows Umar driving a white Hyundai i20, stopping at the toll gate around 8:02 a.m. on November 10, and handing cash to the operator. Investigators said Umar appeared aware of the security cameras as he was seen looking directly toward them multiple times while wearing a mask. A large bag was visible on the car’s rear seat, suspected to have contained explosives used in the blast.
