New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Delhi Police has once again demonstrated its bravery in cracking down on crime in the national capital. The South East District Special Task Force (STF) arrested Himanshu, an active and feared member of the "Ghala Ghotun Gang," following an encounter late Saturday night.

According to police sources, the encounter took place near the Badarpur flyover. The Special Task Force (STF) received information about Himanshu's location, following which a trap was laid to capture him. Upon seeing the police team, Himanshu opened fire. In retaliatory fire, the gangster was shot in the leg and was apprehended. The injured criminal has been admitted to a hospital for treatment.

Himanshu was wanted in connection with a recent sensational robbery in the Pul Prahladpur area. He, along with an accomplice, targeted a food delivery executive. CCTV footage of the incident surfaced, showing the criminals brutally strangling the delivery executive and then robbing him before fleeing. Himanshu has previously been charged with several serious kidnapping and robbery cases.

This gang is notorious for its brutal methods. Members typically commit crimes in pairs while riding two-wheelers. They attack their victims from behind and strangle them until they lose consciousness. Once the victim is unconscious, they flee after stealing valuables, including mobile phones and cash.
