New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): In New Ashok Nagar, East Delhi, a shocking incident occurred when a woman was allegedly assaulted and bitten by her neighbour’s pet dog after requesting its removal from the staircase.

According to the complaint filed by the victim, Sukhjit Kaur, she lives with her family in a first-floor flat near Kali Bari temple. On Tuesday around 4 PM, her seven-year-old son was on his way to tuition but returned home frightened after seeing a dog on the stairs. The dog belonged to their second-floor neighbour, Shivani, who was cleaning at the time.

When Sukhjit Kaur asked Shivani to remove the dog, Shivani allegedly became aggressive, abused her, and physically assaulted her. The victim further alleged that Shivani bit the thumb of her left hand and then let her dog loose on her. The dog attacked her, causing injuries to both hands and legs.
