Development works worth ₹235 crore underway in New Delhi constituency, says CM Rekha Gupta

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta presented her government’s one-year performance report during a public outreach programme in the New Delhi Lok Sabha constituency. She said the report reflects the administration’s commitment to public welfare and its goal of building a developed Delhi. The event was attended by several public representatives and party leaders along with local residents.


The Chief Minister said the government has focused on ensuring basic facilities reach every area and citizen. She highlighted that nine Atal Canteens have been established in the constituency and major development projects are underway. Works worth around ₹135 crore are in progress in the Moti Nagar Assembly segment, including a foot overbridge at Kirti Nagar and a bridge over the Najafgarh drain, while projects worth nearly ₹100 crore are being implemented in R.K. Puram.


She also noted that the replacement of old water pipelines is being carried out across multiple Assembly segments. Infrastructure initiatives such as the approval of Phase II of the Savitri Flyover in Greater Kailash and the launch of an automated multi-level parking facility at M-Block are expected to improve traffic management and urban services.


The Chief Minister said the constituency has moved beyond earlier shortages of basic amenities and is now progressing toward the goal of a developed Delhi through timely completion of projects.
