New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A fire incident was reported at the official residence of senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad in New Delhi. The residence is located at 21, Mother Teresa Crescent Road in the Lutyens’ Zone. Information about the fire was received around 8:05 am on Wednesday morning.

Initially, the fire department was informed that a fire had broken out at bungalow number 2. However, upon reaching the location, officials found that the incident had occurred at bungalow number 21, which is Ravi Shankar Prasad’s residence. The fire reportedly started in a bed kept inside one of the rooms of the house. Fire services were alerted immediately after flames were noticed.

Three fire tenders rushed to the spot and managed to bring the fire under complete control within a short time. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. At the time of the fire, no one was present in the affected room, which helped prevent any major mishap.

The fire department and police teams are currently investigating the cause of the fire. Preliminary information suggests that the fire originated from the bed, but it is not yet clear whether it was caused by a short circuit or some other reason. Although there was initial confusion regarding the address, fire personnel reached the correct location promptly and controlled the situation efficiently.
