Blaze in multi storey building triggers chaos, child among four who jumped
A massive fire in a multi storey building in Delhi triggered panic, forcing four people including a child to jump to escape.

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A fire broke out in a multi-story house in the Dayalpur police station area of Northeast Delhi on Sunday. Within minutes, the blaze became so severe that four people jumped out of the building in fear. They were admitted to the hospital for treatment. The team that arrived at the scene safely rescued four others.
According to reports, a fire broke out at 2:30 a.m. on Sunday morning in a house in F Block, Lane No. 23, Chand Bagh in the Dayalpur police station area of Northeast Delhi. The fire was so intense that 11 vehicles and fire brigade personnel arrived immediately to control it. The fire trapped the residents,l and smoke spread to the upper floors. Two scooters and a motorcycle in the parking area of the house also caught fire, causing smoke to spread to even higher floors.
During this time, some people were very panicked. Before fire units arrived, four people—Nikhat (22), Rashida (50), Soni (25), and Asif (2)—jumped from the first floor. They were immediately admitted to Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital. Meanwhile, DFS personnel rescued four people from the second, third, and fourth floors. All the injured were immediately taken to the hospital, where some were discharged after first aid, while others are undergoing treatment.
The initial fire brigade team consisted of four water tankers, a water balling unit, a quick response vehicle, a total turnout, and a mobile pump. ADO Deepak Hooda, STO Anoop, and SO Hari Shankar inspected the fire site and took charge of the situation.
The building, which had a total of five stories, including the ground floor, covered an area of approximately 50 square yards. The fire and smoke terrified residents nearby. The fire brigade worked diligently and successfully brought the fire under control.
