New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Investigating agencies claim to have uncovered a major conspiracy in the blast outside Delhi's Red Fort. According to officials, some professionals associated with a so-called "white-collar" module plotted to spread terrorist activities in various cities across the country, including Jammu and Kashmir.

Investigations have revealed that this module formed an organization called "Ansar Interim," and the Delhi blast is being considered part of that conspiracy. According to preliminary information, some members of the module had been influenced by radical ideology since 2016 and were gradually building a network. The case was uncovered by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, after which the investigation was handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA).

According to investigating agencies, the alleged leader of this module is Dr. Umar-un-Nabi, a resident of Pulwama. It is alleged that on November 10, 2025, a car bomb filled with explosives was detonated outside the Red Fort, killing 10 people. The investigation also revealed that Umar had attempted to join other terrorist organizations in 2016 and 2018, but was unsuccessful.

According to officials, a secret meeting was held in Srinagar in April 2022, attended by Muzammil Ghani, Umar-un-Nabi, Adil Rather, Maulvi Irfan, and other suspects. It was at this meeting that the decision was made to form 'Ansar Interim.' It is alleged that Adil was appointed the head (Amir) of the organization, Irfan the deputy head, and Muzammil Ghani was given financial responsibility.

The investigation also indicated that members of the module were planning subversive activities in other parts of the country. Officials say the term "Ansar" is believed to be associated with the internationally proscribed terrorist organization al-Qaeda, although no formal affiliation has yet been confirmed in this case.

During interrogation, the accused reportedly stated that the need for a new organization was felt after losing contact with an active terrorist network. Omar and Ghani were tasked with raising funds and other resources. The NIA is currently conducting a detailed investigation into the case, and all allegations are under scrutiny.
