Grandmother Loses Temper Over Holi Color, Pours Boiling Water on 4-Year-Old; Shocking Incident Captured on CCTV

Nagpur (The Uttam Hindu): While the festival of Holi was celebrated across the country with great enthusiasm in recent days, a shocking incident from Nagpur, Maharashtra, has left people stunned and raised serious questions about human relationships. A four-year-old child was brutally injured after his grandmother allegedly poured boiling water on him simply because he accidentally sprayed color on her while playing.
Child Was Playing with a Spray Bottle
The painful incident took place in the Koradi area of Nagpur. The four-year-old boy, Om, was playing outside his house with a spray bottle filled with colored water. While playing, he accidentally sprayed a little color on his grandmother, Sindhu Thakre. At that time, she was filling a bucket with hot water near a bonfire prepared for Holi. As soon as the color touched her, she reportedly lost her temper.

Child Suffers Severe Burns
Angered by the minor act, the grandmother allegedly poured boiling water directly on the child. The boy suffered severe burns and began screaming in pain. Family members rushed him to a private hospital in Nagpur, where he is currently undergoing treatment. According to doctors, around 45 percent of the child’s body has been burned. Considering the seriousness of the incident, the police have begun the process of registering a case against the accused woman.
Terrifying Incident Captured on CCTV
The horrifying incident, which took place on March 3, was captured on a CCTV camera installed nearby, and the video has since gone viral on social media. The footage reportedly shows the grandmother throwing hot water at the child, after which he screams in pain and runs a short distance away. Another woman can also be seen rushing to the spot and pouring cold water on the child to ease his pain and burns.
