Groom Missing on Wedding Night Found Safe in Haridwar After 3 Days

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A 26-year-old groom from Meerut disappeared mysteriously on the night of his wedding, causing panic in the family and forcing police to search for him for three days. CCTV footage captured him walking near the Ganga canal late at night, which increased the family’s fear that he might have taken a drastic step.
But the situation completely changed on Monday after an unexpected phone call—the groom was found safe in Haridwar.
Mohsin alias Monu, a resident of Unchapur in Sardhana, had left home on 27 November saying he needed to buy a bulb. After that, he did not return. His family filed a missing report, and the police launched an immediate search. For three days, they checked the canal area and scanned CCTV cameras, yet no lead was found. Relatives feared he might have jumped into the canal.
Sudden call reveals the truth
Mohsin used a passerby’s phone in Haridwar to call his father and inform him that he was safe and wanted to come home. As soon as the information reached Meerut Police, they left for Haridwar with the family.
According to Sardhana SHO Dinesh Pratap Singh, Mohsin was found near the railway station. During questioning, he said he felt anxious on the wedding night and impulsively boarded a bus to Haridwar, spending three days wandering around the station area.
