House collapses after cylinder blast in Delhi's Mukundpur, six people rescued from debris
A house collapsed in Delhi's Mukundpur after an LPG cylinder explosion. Six people were rescued from the debris, and search and rescue operations are continuing.

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic incident took place on Tuesday morning in Delhi's Mukundpur area when a house collapsed following an LPG cylinder explosion. The accident occurred in Eshu Vihar of Mukundpur-II near Bhalswa Dairy. Fearing that several people were trapped under the debris, police, fire department personnel, and rescue teams rushed to the spot and launched an emergency operation.
According to the Delhi Fire Service, information about a blast and the collapse of a house in Gali No. 1 of Eshu Vihar, Mukundpur-II was received at 9:37 a.m. Following the alert, five fire tenders were dispatched to the site and rescue operations were immediately initiated.
Delhi Fire Service official Giriraj said that preliminary investigations indicate an LPG cylinder explosion as the likely cause of the accident. The blast led to the complete collapse of a single-storey house spread over approximately 250 square yards.
Rescue teams have so far pulled six people safely from the debris. Two of them suffered minor injuries, while two women were also among those rescued. All the injured have been admitted to BSA Hospital for treatment.
According to officials, some labourers were living in the house along with their families. Debris removal work is still underway. Authorities said there is currently no indication that anyone else remains trapped under the rubble, but search operations are continuing as a precautionary measure. Police and administrative teams remain at the site, and a detailed investigation into the cause of the incident is underway.
