Ghaziabad (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic incident was reported from Ghaziabad where three minor sisters died under suspicious circumstances after falling from a residential building. The incident took place late at night in Bharat City Society under the Tila Mor police station area.
According to information, the three sisters lived in Flat No. 907 of B-1 Tower in Bharat City Society. Around 2 am, all three reportedly fell from the 9th floor of the building, resulting in their death on the spot.
The deceased have been identified as Nishika (16), Prachi (14), and Pakhi (12). Their father has been identified as Chetan Kumar. After being informed, police reached the spot and took the bodies into custody, sending them for post-mortem examination.
Preliminary information suggests that the family was asleep at the time of the incident. It is suspected that the sisters used a plastic chair to jump from the 9th floor, though this has not yet been officially confirmed by the police.
It has been reported that the three sisters were addicted to mobile phones and online games. They were allegedly playing an online task-based Korean lover game. The family reportedly objected to this habit, and parents often stopped them from playing. Police are investigating whether this addiction had any connection with the incident.
According to police, the sisters used to do almost all activities together, including bathing, eating, going to school, and sleeping. It is also reported that they developed an addiction to online games during the COVID-19 pandemic and had stopped attending school regularly. Police are investigating all possible angles to determine whether it is a case of suicide or if there is any other reason behind the incident.
