Panic grips Noida after bomb threats sent to multiple schools during exams

Noida (The Uttam Hindu): More than a dozen schools in Noida received emails threatening bombings. The threats came during the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) exams. This threat, which came during the exam season, has raised concerns among students, parents, and school administrations.

According to sources, threatening messages were sent to the official email addresses of several private schools on Thursday morning. The emails threatened to bomb the school campuses. Upon receiving the information, school administrations immediately informed the local police and administration. As a precaution, students in some schools were evacuated to safe locations, while in many other locations, the examination process continued under tight security.

Police, security forces, dog squads, and bomb disposal squads arrived at the scene immediately after receiving the information. The school premises are being thoroughly checked, with every corner being meticulously inspected for any suspicious objects.

Police officials say that while there has been no confirmation of explosive material being found in any school, they are maintaining a high level of caution until the investigation is complete. The police cyber cell has also begun investigating the threatening email. Technical investigations are underway to determine the ID from which the email was sent, its server location, and its location.

Officials say similar hoax threats have been received in the past, but after investigation, nothing suspicious was found. However, as always, no complacency is being exercised this time. Parents are urged not to panic and ignore rumors.

The administration has assured that the safety of students is a top priority and the situation is being monitored closely. Only after the investigation is complete will it be clear whether the threat was genuine or the work of a mischievous individual. Currently, security has been tightened at schools across Noida.
