Latur (The Uttam Hindu): A horrifying incident has surfaced from Latur district in Maharashtra, where the body of a man was found inside a burnt car on Vanvada Road in Ausa taluka. The deceased was discovered inside a sack, and initial investigation suggests that he was tied up and set on fire while still alive inside the vehicle. The brutal nature of the crime has sent shockwaves across the area.

Police identified the victim as Ganesh Chavan, a resident of Ausa Tanda, who worked as a recovery agent for ICICI Bank. The incident came to light late at night after police received a Dial 112 alert about a car engulfed in flames on Vanvada Road. Police teams and fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and managed to douse the fire after significant effort.

Once the fire was brought under control and the car was inspected, officials were stunned to find Ganesh Chavan’s burnt body stuffed inside a sack. Investigators believe the manner in which the body was found clearly points to a planned murder. The body was sent for post-mortem examination after completing legal formalities and later handed over to the family.

Police have registered a case against unknown accused and launched a detailed investigation into the incident. Authorities are probing whether the murder was linked to personal enmity or a dispute related to loan recovery and financial transactions. Efforts are underway to identify and arrest those responsible for this gruesome crime.
