New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): There was a commotion in the Saket Court premises of the country's capital Delhi, when an employee posted there committed suicide by jumping from the top floor of the building. This incident which happened in broad daylight created panic among the lawyers, judges and parties present in the court premises. The deceased has been identified as Harish Singh, who was working as Ahlmad (clerk) in Saket Court and used to assist the judges in maintaining the court records. It is being told that Harish Singh was 60 percent disabled.

Immediately after the incident, police and other court employees rushed to the scene, but Harish Singh had died tragically on the spot due to the fall from a height. Police recovered a suicide note near the body, which clarified the reasons behind this suicide. According to information, in the suicide note, Harish cited "excessive work pressure" as the reason for his death. However, he did not directly hold any officer or individual responsible for his action. Due to this tragic incident, court proceedings were also disrupted for some time.

Delhi Police have registered a case and launched an investigation, and the recovered suicide note has been sent for forensic analysis. Police teams are questioning the deceased's coworkers to understand the extent of work pressure he was under. Coworkers described Harish as a very hard-working employee, but also acknowledged that he was overwhelmed by workload. This incident has once again raised questions about the mental health and workload management of court employees. Currently, the police are investigating the case from every angle, considering it a suicide due to stress.
