New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Shri Manohar Lal, Hon’ble Union Minister for Power, Housing and Urban Affairs, inaugurated the NHPC Pavilion at the India Electricity Summit 2026 held at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi on March 19, 2026.

On this occasion, Shri Pralhad Joshi, Hon’ble Union Minister for New & Renewable Energy, Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution; Shri Shripad Naik, Hon’ble Minister of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy; Shri Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary (Power), Government of India; Shri Bhupender Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, NHPC; Shri Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel); Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects); Shri Suprakash Adhikari, Director (Technical); and Shri Mahesh Kumar Sharma, Director (Finance) were also present.

During his visit, the Hon’ble Minister was briefed on various initiatives undertaken by NHPC, particularly in the areas of hydropower development, expansion of renewable energy, and sustainable infrastructure.

The Chairman & Managing Director of NHPC highlighted the organization’s ongoing and upcoming projects, technological advancements, and its role in strengthening India’s energy security while supporting the transition towards clean energy.

The India Electricity Summit 2026 is a major global conference and exhibition in the power and energy sector, being held from March 19 to 22, 2026 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi.

The four-day summit is themed: “Electrifying Development. Empowering Sustainability. Connecting Globally.”

The event underscores the growing demand for reliable and sustainable electricity in India and highlights the importance of diversifying energy sources. It includes panel discussions, technical sessions, and networking opportunities aimed at fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among stakeholders.
