Global Glory: Deepika Padukone Makes History Becomes First Indian Honoured on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Los Angeles (The Uttam Hindu): In a proud moment for India acclaimed actress Deepika Padukone has been named among the recipients of the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame star for the upcoming year. Her name was revealed during a live press conference held at Ovation Hollywood, alongside global icons from the worlds of film, television, music, theatre and sports entertainment.
Deepika joins an elite list of honorees including Miley Cyrus, Timothée Chalamet, Emily Blunt, Marion Cotillard, Rachel McAdams, Franco Nero and Gordon Ramsay as part of the Walk of Fame Class of 2026. The announcement has sparked widespread celebration among her fans across the world.
Deepika, who made her Hollywood debut in 2017 with xXx: Return of Xander Cage, has consistently represented Indian cinema on global platforms such as the Cannes Film Festival and Met Gala. She has also been featured in TIME’s 100 Most Influential People list and Variety’s International Women’s Impact Report. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce confirmed the final list after a meeting on June 20 with official ratification by the board on June 25.
