‘See you in Delhi on the 30th’: Diljit Dosanjh puts concert cancellation rumours to rest, confirms Delhi show
Diljit Dosanjh has reassured fans about his Delhi concert scheduled for October 30, sharing an update amid rumours of cancellation.
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Uncertainty surrounding Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh’s concert at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on October 30 has eased after the singer reassured fans that the show would go ahead as scheduled. During an Instagram Live session, Diljit addressed rumours about the concert’s cancellation and criticised those spreading unverified information on social media and television debates.
Diljit told fans that he had arrived in India and would meet them at the venue on October 30. Taking a dig at those circulating rumours, he questioned whether their reels, tweets and newsroom debates were over. He urged people to verify facts before making claims and asked fans to come prepared for the concert.
The concert had faced uncertainty after reports that Delhi Police had withheld permission on October 22 over festival-related security and crowd-management concerns. Organisers BookMyShow Live and Live Nation subsequently held discussions with police officials and presented revised security, traffic-management and crowd-control arrangements. According to the information provided, the event has since received the go-ahead, paving the way for the concert to proceed as scheduled.
