Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu) : The makers of Dhadak 2 have released a striking new poster featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, building anticipation for the much-awaited romantic drama. The poster, dominated by deep blue tones, features a powerful visual of the lead pair embracing, with the tagline: “Marne aur ladne mein se ek ko chunna ho… toh ladna” – suggesting a narrative centered around courage, resistance and emotional intensity.

The image showcases Siddhant in a protective stance as Triptii holds on to him, evoking a sense of urgency and vulnerability that hints at the challenges their characters will face. Along with the poster reveal, it has been confirmed that the official trailer will be released on Friday, July 11 and the film is set to hit cinemas nationwide on August 1, 2025.

About the Film

Dhadak 2 is directed by Shazia Iqbal and produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions, in collaboration with Zee Studios and Cloud 9 Pictures. Unlike the original Dhadak, which was a remake of the Marathi film Sairat, this sequel is inspired by the Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal. The story explores deep-rooted social issues such as caste discrimination and class divide, while centering around a compelling love story. The film recently received a U/A-16+ certificate from the censor board, with several modifications made to sensitive dialogues to ensure wider audience suitability.

What to Expect

Dhadak 2 appears to be a more intense and socially aware film compared to its predecessor. With emotionally driven storytelling, powerful performances, and a contemporary take on love and resistance, it is expected to strike a chord with both critics and audiences. The poster sets the tone for a film that is not only a love story but also a commentary on societal barriers—and the fight to overcome them.
