Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu) : The Mumbai film industry is once again gripped by fear and terror. Police have been alerted after the name of Shubham Lonkar, a close associate of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and a fugitive criminal, surfaced. According to Mumbai Police sources, Shubham Lonkar has targeted at least five prominent Bollywood personalities and has made threatening calls to extort money from them.

However, due to the prevailing fear, no film personality has yet filed a police complaint. Last Sunday, shots were fired at the Juhu bungalow of renowned film director Rohit Shetty. Shubham Lonkar's name emerged as the mastermind. This incident shook the entire film industry. A senior police officer stated that the police had received intelligence that several film stars had received threatening phone calls, but no one had come forward to file a complaint. Consequently, it is extremely difficult for the police to take action on their own.

Meanwhile, police have also seized a social media post by Shubham Lonkar. In this post, he openly threatened Rohit Shetty. In the post, Lonkar wrote, "Ram-Ram, Jai Bajrang Bali. We've messaged Rohit Shetty several times, asking him not to interfere in our work, but he didn't understand. This was just a 'trailer.' If he still doesn't listen, the next bullet will hit him, not outside his house, but directly in his chest. This is a warning to the entire Bollywood industry: mend your ways while there's still time."

However, Rohit Shetty himself has told the police that he has not received any threatening calls or messages. Several Crime Branch teams are searching for the shooter in various parts of the country.
