New Delhi (Uttam Hindu News): In the history of Indian cinema, there are some films that not only have a spectacular opening but also carve a special place in the hearts of audiences through their content, acting, and story. One such film currently in the news is "Kantara Chapter 1," which has created a sensation at the box office from its very first day of release. Long queues outside theaters, houseful shows, and constant praise on social media have elevated Kannada superstar Rishabh Shetty's film not just to the status of a superhit, but to the status of a blockbuster. Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor's "Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari" also hit theaters this week, although its box office performance was a bit slow.


'Kantara Chapter 1' shines at the box office, Rishabh Shetty's film breaks record after record. : If we talk about 'Kantara Chapter 1', then the film broke all the records of earning. According to reports of SACNILC, the film made a tremendous opening of Rs 61.85 crores on the first day in India. Even though the figure dropped a bit on the second day and came down to 46 crores, but on the third day there was a jump once again and the film earned Rs 55 crores. In this way, the total three-day net collection of the film in India reached Rs 162.85 crores. The worldwide box office of the film was a blast. The film earned Rs 218 crores worldwide, with this figure the film became one of the fastest earning films of this year.


The special thing is that in just three days, 'Kantara Chapter 1' has left behind films of stars like Akshay Kumar, Pawan Kalyan and Teja Sajja. Talking about the figures, 'Mirai' had earned Rs 142.44 crore, 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu' had earned Rs 116.88 crore, 'Kesari Chapter 2' had earned Rs 145.01 crore, 'Sky Force' had earned Rs 150.01 crore and 'Jolly LLB 3' had earned Rs 152.75 crore. But compared to all these, 'Kantara Chapter 1' not only joined the Rs 100 crore club very quickly, but also crossed the Rs 200 crore club on the third day itself.


Rishabh Shetty not only stars in the film but also directs it. He also stars alongside Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, and Jayaram.


Talking about Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, the film started off a bit slow but saw an increase on the third day. It earned ₹9.25 crore on the first day, saw a drop on the second day, but recorded a collection of ₹7.25 crore on the third day. The film has now grossed ₹22 crore, taking its worldwide collection to ₹30.7 crore. The film stars Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, along with Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, and Manish Paul.
