Surrey (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking incident has rocked the entertainment industry as Kapil Sharma's newly opened restaurant, KAP'S CAFÉ, in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, was targeted in a violent gun attack on July 9. According to reports, 8 to 9 bullets were fired using an automatic pistol at the establishment, just days after its soft launch.

Harjit Singh Laddi, a wanted terrorist and BKI (Babbar Khalsa International) operative, has claimed responsibility for the attack. In a video statement, Laddi alleged that the attack was triggered by remarks Kapil Sharma made against Nihang Sikhs during one of his comedy shows. Laddi warned Sharma to issue a public apology, failing which the matter could escalate further.

The incident has raised concerns over rising violence and cross-border terrorism in Canada. Laddi, along with Kulbir Singh Sidhu, has been linked to multiple extortion, murder, and gang-related activities in Canada and India.

The attack on Kapil Sharma's restaurant appears to be ideological, with the attackers claiming they were offended by Sharma's comments about the Nihang community. The exact content or context of those remarks remains unclear.

The Canadian cities of Surrey and Brampton have witnessed a surge in gang-terror linked attacks in recent months, and this incident further amplifies concerns over the growing threat of terrorism.
