umbai (The Uttam Hindu): A big controversy has arisen over Akshay Kumar's film 'Kesari 2'. An FIR has been filed against the makers of the film. It is alleged that historical facts have been tampered with in the film. West Bengal's Trinamool Congress (TMC) says that the film portrays Bengal's freedom fighters in a wrong way. In this case, an FIR has been filed against the 7 producers of the film in Bidhannagar South Police Station. Several sections of the Indian Penal Code have been imposed in it.

Akshay Kumar's 'Kesari-2' in controversy, FIR filed against 7 producers; This big allegation on the film : TMC alleges that revolutionary Khudiram Bose has been portrayed as Khudiram Singh in the film. Barindra Kumar Ghosh has been shown as Birendra Kumar of Amritsar. Whereas, a fictional character Kripal Singh has been shown in place of Kripal Ghosh. On this issue, TMC leader Kunal Ghosh held a press conference and said that this is not a simple mistake but an attempt to erase the historical role of Bengal. He asked how such a film got the censor certificate?

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also targeted the makers without naming the film. She said, "There is an attempt to belittle the role of Bengali revolutionaries in the freedom struggle, which we will not tolerate." TMC has demanded strict action from the central government in this matter.
