The condition of the mansion is getting worse day by day

The mansion's building had already weakened significantly due to continuous heavy rainfall. Meanwhile, a strong earthquake on Friday night shook the structure, completely shattering a portion of it. Fortunately, there are no reports of casualties, but the extensive damage to the building has raised concerns among history and heritage officials.
Appeal to the Archaeological Department and the Government to take immediate action
Following this tragic incident, Shakeel Wahidullah, Secretary of the Heritage Council of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, expressed deep concern. He stated that after the earthquake that caused the collapse of a portion of the Kapoor Haveli, it has become even more urgent to protect its remaining structure. Warning about the gravity of the situation, Shakeel Wahidullah strongly appealed to the Government of Pakistan and the Archaeological Survey of India to take immediate and concrete steps to preserve this historic building. Located in Peshawar, this haveli is considered one of Pakistan's most renowned and historic buildings, so it will be important to see what meaningful initiatives the administration takes to protect this precious heritage of the Kapoor family.
