Rumours of heart attack to Sanjay Leela Bhansali go viral, truth revealed

Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s team has clarified that the filmmaker is in good health and has dismissed rumours circulating on social media claiming that he had suffered a heart attack and was hospitalised.

The reports had caused concern among fans and members of the film industry. However, Bhansali Productions issued a statement on social media saying that the director is perfectly fine and had only gone for a routine medical check-up.

The statement said there is nothing to worry about and expressed gratitude for the love and concern shown by well-wishers. The production house described the reports about Bhansali suffering a heart attack and being admitted to hospital as false and baseless.

The team also appealed to the public and media not to spread or believe unverified information. The rumours surfaced shortly after the filmmaker celebrated his 63rd birthday on February 24, when many celebrities and fans extended their wishes.

Some online reports had claimed that Bhansali’s health suddenly deteriorated during the celebrations and that he was taken to hospital for treatment, but the production house has rejected these claims.

On the work front, Bhansali is currently working on his upcoming film Love and War, which features Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in important roles.

Meanwhile, his production house’s recent release Do Deewane Seher Mein has been receiving a positive response from audiences.
