New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan's debut web series, "Bads of Bollywood," has found itself embroiled in a major legal controversy since its release. Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer Sameer Wankhede has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court against the series, accusing Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's company, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Netflix of tarnishing his image and insulting national symbols.

In his petition, Sameer Wankhede has sought damages of ₹2 crore. He has stated that if he wins the case, he will donate the entire amount to the Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital for the treatment of cancer patients.

In his petition, Sameer Wankhede alleged that the web series currently streaming on Netflix is false and malicious, deliberately designed to tarnish his reputation. He stated that the character of a police officer in the series is based on him and is portrayed in a negative light, while the actual case involving him is still pending in the Bombay High Court.

The petition further alleges that the series not only attempts to undermine public confidence in law enforcement agencies by portraying anti-drug agencies in a negative light, but also insults the national emblem by having a character make obscene gestures after chanting 'Satyameva Jayate', which is a violation of the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act.

Sameer Wankhede also stated in his complaint that the content of the series violates several sections of the IT Act and the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The Delhi High Court will now hear the matter further.
