New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Supreme Court has strongly objected to the title of the upcoming film 'Ghuskhor Pandit' and has issued a clear warning to the producers. During the hearing, the apex court indicated that if the name of the film is not changed, its release will not be allowed. Making a strict remark, the court said that in the name of freedom of expression, there cannot be any liberty to insult or defame any particular section of the society. The bench said in clear words that creative freedom is certainly important, but it is not completely autocratic and it should be used only within the limits of constitutional values and social sensitivity.
The court directed the producers to immediately reconsider the film's title and content. The judges indicated that if objectionable elements persist, the court may intervene and take strict action. The Supreme Court issued notices to the film's producers, directors, and related parties, seeking their responses. The court asked why the film's release should not be stopped with this objectionable title. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for February 19th, where it will be seen what steps the producers take to change the title or make other necessary amendments.
