Mumbai (Uttam Hindu News): The teaser of South superstar Yash's upcoming film "Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups" has sparked controversy ever since it was released. An intimate scene depicted in the teaser has stirred a stir from social media to administrative circles. The controversy has escalated so much that the actress appearing in the film has had to delete her social media account.

Model Behatriz Tauffenbach deletes her account

The teaser features an intimate scene between Yash and a model inside a car outside a cemetery, which is rapidly going viral. This scene was performed by Brazilian model and actress Behatriz Tauffenbach. Since the teaser's release on January 8th, Google searches for Behatriz have increased, and she has faced nasty comments on social media. Fed up with this online trolling and negativity, Behatriz deleted her Instagram account, making her profile unavailable for search. Previously, people thought the actress was Natalie Byrne, but the film's director, Geetu Mohandas, cleared up the confusion by sharing a photo of Behatriz.

AAP filed a complaint

This scene in the film has sparked political protests. The women's wing of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has filed a complaint against the film with the Karnataka State Women's Commission. The party has described the intimate scenes as obscene and objectionable, stating that they insult Kannada culture. The organization has demanded that the teaser be immediately removed from social media and banned.

The Censor Board (CBFC) clarified

As the controversy escalated, the Censor Board's position also emerged. According to an India Today report, CBFC sources clarified that the teaser was released solely on a digital platform, which does not require prior approval from the Censor Board. The Board stated that the producers have not yet submitted any material related to the film for certification.

When will the film be released?

Amidst all the controversy, Yash's highly anticipated film will hit theaters on March 19th. It is expected to face competition at the box office from "Dhurandhar 2." Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film also stars Yash, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, and Rukmini Vasanth in pivotal roles.
