Mohali (The Uttam Hindu): The State Special Operations Cell (SSOC) of SAS Nagar, Punjab, has achieved a major breakthrough against a Pakistan-backed terror network by arresting Raman Kumar alias Golu, a resident of Jammu.

Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said on Sunday that the accused is a key associate of Pakistan-based terrorist Shahzad Bhatti. A pistol has also been recovered from his possession. He stated that Raman Kumar was in direct contact with Shahzad Bhatti through Instagram and WhatsApp and was actively involved in the Ambala police station blast case.

According to the DGP, the accused also provided financial assistance to the criminals involved in the attack. Yadav reiterated that the Punjab Police remains firmly committed to dismantling ISI-sponsored international terrorism and organized crime networks and to maintaining peace and harmony in the state.
