Praveen Atre was earlier media secretary of Public Relations department. Now Praveen Atre has been made media secretary of CM by giving him a big responsibility. The post of media secretary of CM was first created in 1991 for Delhi Haryana Bhawan in Bhajan Lal government. After that, after Bhajan Lal government was removed from the post of media secretary of CM, this post was created again after 29 years in 1996. This time Chandigarh Secretariat has been kept as its headquarters instead of Delhi Haryana Bhawan.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has expressed his full confidence in Praveen Atre by appointing him as media secretary of CM. Both Naib Saini and Union Minister Manohar Lal were happy with the way Praveen Atre had authenticated his work by his excellent working system by keeping in coordination with the media in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. Once again he has been given a big responsibility related to the media of the Chief Minister. After the BJP's organization and the Chief Minister's Office registered a historic victory for the third time in Haryana, the BJP has put its final seal on the responsibility to be given to Praveen Atre.

In the Haryana Assembly elections, Praveen Atre has shown his efficiency by doing media related work for the Chief Minister very well. Apart from this, Praveen Atre has a good old media experience. Earlier, Atre had handled the command of presenting the government's side in the electronic channel very well. He even had the responsibility of sending guests on behalf of the party in the channel. According to experts, his sharp style has also helped in the reason for Atre being appointed as the Chief Minister's media secretary or media advisor.
If media reports are to be believed, former Chief Minister and current Union Minister Manohar Lal had already recommended Praveen Atre to Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. Let us tell you that during the Manohar government in Haryana, Praveen Atre was working as the Chief Minister's media secretary. He remained on the same post even after Nayab Saini became the Chief Minister. However, after the announcement of the assembly elections, when the code of conduct was imposed, Atre resigned from the post of Chief Minister's media secretary. After this, during the elections, he handled the media of Chief Minister Nayab Saini.

While being the Chief Minister's media secretary, Praveen Atre has got many demands of journalists fulfilled by the government. While working as a link between the government and journalists, Praveen Atre tries to solve the problems faced by journalists by making the Chief Minister aware of them. At the same time, he also works to convey the government's work to the common people by speaking openly in front of the media.
Praveen Atre was very close to Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini during his first term. Praveen Atre has established himself in Chandigarh by coordinating with media organizations, DGIPR. Praveen Atre reacts well to the latest events and statements of the opposition.
Praveen Atre has been advocating for giving cashless facility to journalists before the elections. Due to Atre's meaningful efforts, Nayab Saini fulfilled two demands of journalists that were going on for years, which included stopping the pension amount and other government facilities of a journalist in case a case is registered against him and giving pension amount to only one journalist in a family. On the recommendation of Praveen Atre, Chief Minister Nayab Saini made changes in both the schemes and announced that all government facilities and pensions will not be stopped only on the basis of FIR. Along with this, the Chief Minister also announced that if there are two journalists in the family, then the government will give pension amount to both of them. Atre has been working as a link between the media and the government since the beginning. He tries to find a solution to the problems faced by journalists by knowing them and taking them to the Chief Minister.
