Haryana ASI takes own life, alleges harassment by IPS Puran Kumar in suicide note

Rohtak (The Uttam Hindu) – A new twist has emerged in the Haryana IPS officer suicide case. Another police officer has reportedly taken his own life, making serious allegations against the late IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar in his suicide note.
The deceased has been identified as Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sandeep Lathar, currently posted in the Cyber Cell of Rohtak. Upon receiving information about the incident, local police and forensic teams took possession of the body. In his suicide note and a video message, Sandeep Lathar made serious allegations against IPS Y. Puran Kumar. In the note, he wrote that Puran Kumar was a corrupt officer against whom substantial evidence existed. Sandeep claimed that he was afraid of arrest during an ongoing extortion investigation against Puran Kumar's staff.
The suicide note read, "I could no longer bear this pressure. Puran sahab had conspired to frame me." Sandeep reiterated his statement in a video message, which could prove crucial for investigating agencies. This incident marks a new twist in the IPS Y. Puran Kumar case. Puran Kumar is accused of extortion, corruption, and other criminal activities. On October 11, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) arrived in Rohtak and is investigating the case. According to sources, Sandeep was scheduled to give a crucial statement during the investigation, but his sudden death has further complicated the entire case. Police have launched an investigation into the matter. The case appears to be closely linked to the extortion scandal involving IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar.
