Haryana Cabinet Minister’s bungalow in turmoil as constable on security duty commits suicide

Gurugram (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking incident has emerged from the Civil Lines area of Gurugram, Haryana. A police constable deployed for security at the official bungalow of Haryana Cabinet Minister Rao Narbir Singh has allegedly committed suicide. The incident has caused widespread panic within the police department.
The deceased has been identified as 49-year-old Constable Jagbir Singh, a resident of Sukhpura village in Jhajjar district. According to police, the incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Monday-Tuesday night. Constable Jagbir Singh was on duty in the guard room at the bungalow's entrance. When a colleague found him unconscious in the room, he immediately alerted police and other authorities. Jagbir Singh was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Initial investigations by the police are considering it a case of suicide. Station House Officer (SHO) of Civil Lines Police Station, Krishna Kumar, said, "We suspect the constable consumed some poisonous substance, which led to his death. However, the exact cause of death will only be known after the postmortem report is released."
Police said no suicide note was recovered from the scene. The deceased's family has not yet filed a written complaint or statement. The police are awaiting their statement, which will determine the direction of the investigation.
According to reports, the deceased constable, Jagbir Singh was a former soldier and joined the Haryana Police in 2014. Jagbir was posted to Rao Narbir Singh's bungalow to provide security when he became a minister. Police are currently investigating the case from all angles.
