Tragic accident in Haryana: Truck runs over three youths going to eat parathas at a dhaba, killed

Sonipat (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic road accident in Haryana’s Sonipat district claimed the lives of three young men. The incident occurred when three friends were riding a scooter to Murthal to eat parathas at a roadside dhaba. Police have taken the bodies into custody and sent them for post-mortem, while further investigation is underway.
According to information, the accident took place on National Highway-44 near the Nagal Khurd flyover. The scooter collided with a truck, killing two youths on the spot, while the third succumbed to injuries during treatment. After the accident, the truck driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene.
The incident led to heavy traffic congestion on the highway for a long time. Police later reached the spot, cleared the traffic, and began legal proceedings.
The deceased have been identified as Mayank, Deepak, and Prateek, residents of Krishna Vihar in Delhi’s Rohini area. The tragic loss has left their families in deep grief.
Meanwhile, in a separate matter, police recorded the statement of Colonel Harvinder Singh Guleria, chief security officer of Sant Nirankari Mandal, in connection with an incident involving a collision with the vehicle of Satguru Mata Sudiksha Maharaj. A complaint regarding this incident was filed at Murthal police station on January 3. Police said a speeding black Scorpio hit the vehicle near the Murthal flyover on GT Road, though no injuries were reported. The matter is currently under investigation.
