Punjab government should make health insurance scheme a reality in the state: Avinash Rai Khanna

Hoshiarpur (The Uttam Hindu): Former MP Avinash Rai Khanna stated that the Punjab government's 10 lakh health insurance scheme is not implemented in most hospitals in Punjab, resulting in the people of the state feeling cheated when their health insurance cards are rejected in many hospitals. Khanna stated that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who heads the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab, has been a master of making empty promises since the beginning.

The dream of a 10 lakh health insurance card, which the Punjab government has promised to the people of the state to secure their votes in the upcoming elections, is being rejected in many hospitals and complaints are being received from the public regarding this. Khanna stated that if Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann truly wants to provide healthcare to the people of Punjab, he should ensure the 10 lakh health insurance scheme is implemented in all hospitals in Punjab.
