Guru Purnima Devotees' Bus Met with Accident in Bilaspur, 32 Hospitalized; CM Sukhu Visits Hospital

Bilaspur (The Uttam Hindu): Around 3:15 am, a bus carrying devotees back from a satsang in Punjab overturned near Namhol in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, causing a tragic incident. 32 passengers were hurt in the accident and were taken to AIIMS Hospital and Bilaspur Hospital right away to receive treatment.
Chief Minister's Response
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu visited AIIMS Bilaspur to assess the condition of the injured passengers. He assured them of all possible assistance from the state government and instructed the hospital administration to provide prompt and quality medical care.
Investigation and Details
The bus, which had 36 passengers on board, was traveling from Punjab when the accident occurred. Local residents assisted in rescuing the injured, who were then transported to hospitals via ambulances. Due to the darkness, rescue operations were challenging. The Barmana police station is currently investigating the cause of the accident. Most of the injured passengers hail from the Solan area.
Government Support
Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani, Congress leaders, Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar, and Superintendent of Police Sandeep Dhawal were present alongside the Chief Minister during his visit to the hospital. The bus driver has been admitted to the civil hospital in Markand for treatment.
