Cloudburst Havoc in HP: 5 Bridges Collapse, 75 Lives Lost — WATCH VIDEO

Shimla (The Uttam Hindu)- Manali-Leh National Highway (NH-3) has been temporarily closed due to landslide near the first snow gallery in Solang Valley of Himachal Pradesh . Cloudburst has occurred in Chamba and Mandi districts of Himachal Pradesh. Due to this, 5 bridges have been washed away in the state. The bridge built on Kanghela drain in Chamba was washed away. At the same time, one vehicular traffic and three pedestrian bridges were washed away in Chauhar Valley of Mandi district.
So far 75 people have died and 288 have been injured in floods and landslides in Himachal . The maximum number of 14 deaths in cloudburst incidents have occurred in Mandi district. 31 people are still missing here.
Yellow alert in Delhi-NCR
Monsoon has knocked in the entire NCR including Delhi and now the Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert. According to the Meteorological Department report, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in the afternoon, evening and night. Also, strong winds will blow and incidents of lightning may also occur. The Meteorological Department has given a special warning that along with light to moderate rain throughout the day, incidents of thunderstorms and lightning may be recorded. However, it is a matter of relief that no serious warning (red or orange alert) has been given yet.
There is a flood situation in Madhya Pradesh due to the strong rain system being active. Due to heavy rains, the Narmada river is in spate in Mandla district. Here, the bridge on the national highway connecting Narsinghpur to Hoshangabad collapsed.
There is a yellow alert for rain in 18 districts of Bihar today. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in these districts. Strong winds can also blow. It rained in Araria, Munger. Two women died due to lightning in Sasaram. While one woman got burnt.
