Himachal Tragedy: Bus Plunges Into Ditch, 2 Dead, 20 Injured

Mandi (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic road accident occurred near Kalkhar in the Patdighat area of Mandi district, Himachal Pradesh, where a passenger bus veered off the road and fell into a deep ditch. The bus was on its way from Baldwara to Mandi when the incident took place.

According to initial reports, around 15 to 20 passengers sustained injuries in the accident. Local villagers immediately reached the spot and helped in rescuing the injured from the wreckage. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Sadly, two people lost their lives in this mishap. The cause of the accident is yet to be confirmed, but preliminary inputs suggest the driver may have lost control on a curve. Authorities have begun an investigation into the incident.
