Bilaspur (The Uttam Hindu) – News of a tragic road accident has emerged from Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. According to reports, a private bus traveling from Marotan to Ghumarwin was hit by a landslide in the Barthin area of the Jhanduta subdivision. The accident was so severe that heavy debris falling from the hill completely crushed the roof of the bus. According to preliminary information, the bus was carrying approximately 30 passengers. So far, 15 people have been confirmed dead, while several others are reported to be seriously injured.


Local administration, police, and NDRF teams immediately arrived at the scene and began rescue operations. The injured are being admitted to nearby hospitals.


According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred as the bus was traveling on the road between Jhanduta and Barthin. Suddenly, a large amount of mud, stones, and rocks fell on the bus from above. The bus tilted

into a roadside ditch. Locals immediately began rescue operations and are trying to rescue the victims.
