Himachal Pradesh(The Uttam Hindu): Former Union Minister and Member of Parliament from Hamirpur Lok Sabha constituency, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and Rural Development, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, for the Central Government's approval of 17 roads worth ₹83.82 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) for his Hamirpur parliamentary constituency.

Mr. Anurag Singh Thakur said, "The Modi government has always taken special care of Himachal's interests and ensured no shortage of development projects here. It is a matter of great joy that the Central Government has approved 17 road projects (53.71 km) worth ₹83.82 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana (PMGSY)-IV Batch-1 for my Hamirpur parliamentary constituency. Recently, I met with the Minister of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Rural Development, Honorable Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan, and requested for roads under the PMGSY for Himachal Pradesh. He gladly accepted the demand, and he approved 17 roads worth ₹83.82 crore, in view of the state's social and economic development. I am deeply grateful to the Honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, and the Minister of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Rural Development, Honorable Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan, for this commendable work of providing road connectivity to 23 settlements in my parliamentary constituency."

Mr. Anurag Singh Thakur said, "The Central Government has approved the construction of a link road from Solag to Bilaspur Sadar under the PMGSY." The Bharathu to Jungle Jhalera road, the Neri to Barnu Ghanser Tunighat road, the Bhater to Kanfra link road in Sri Nainadevi, the Gahra to Luharana via Dukhral link road in Hamirpur, the Purli Road Barota Junglehad Khad link road, the Sapru to Gardahat Haripur via Kora Grana in Dehra, the Bankhandi Kherian Road Bargotian Da Behra Village via Paderwasi link road, the Tip to Jasehar link road, the Sakri to Galua via Mahendru Balla link road in Nagrota Surian, the Bhaled Darini Khurd link road in Rait, the Ropdibagfal link road in Dharampur, the Dayol to Gwaila link road, the Bagh link road, the Majhiyar link road, the Chauli to Bagroh link road and the Nanvi Abadi Mohammadan link road in Una have been approved.

Shri Anurag Singh Thakur said, “Former Prime Minister, respected Atal ji The PMGSY was launched in 2000 with the vision of providing all-weather road connectivity to rural settlements. Modi has carried forward this vision of Atal ji. Since its inception, a total of 825,114 kilometers of rural roads have been approved under various phases of the PMGSY scheme, of which 787,520 kilometers have been completed by December 2025, representing approximately 95 percent physical progress, and approximately 180,000 settlements have been connected to the scheme so far."
