Tragic accident in Himachal: Car falls into 200-meter deep gorge in Mandi; 3 dead, 1 critical

Thunag (The Uttam Hindu): Three youths were killed and one seriously injured in a horrific road accident in the Saraj area on the morning of the Shivratri festival. The accident occurred around 4 am on Sunday. Four friends had left home in a jeep and the vehicle met with an accident near Bunalidhar. It is being reported that the accident occurred about 24 kilometers from their home. The vehicle belonged to Yograj, a resident of Bagsyad. Yograj's son, Hardik, also died in the accident.


According to reports, the four young men left home in a Jeep (HP-65 5148) without informing anyone. The vehicle went out of control near Bunalidhar on the Lambathach-Kalhani road and fell into a 200-meter-deep ravine.


Hearing the sound of the vehicle falling, people nearby rushed to the scene. They found two young men lying outside the vehicle, while two others were trapped inside. All the injured were immediately rushed to the hospital, where two were declared dead. A third young man succumbed to his injuries during treatment, while another remains in critical condition.


Upon receiving the information, a police team arrived at the scene. The accident was so horrific that it was initially difficult to identify the young men. It is being reported that all the young men were ITI students. Janjehli Police Station in-charge Ramakrishna stated that the police have arrived at the scene and begun an investigation, and are investigating the cause of the accident.
