The Juni-Beas river is in spate in Mandi. According to the Meteorological Department, it will rain in 31 states and union territories today. A red alert has been issued in Uttarakhand and Jharkhand. Orange alert for heavy rain has been issued in 12 states including Madhya Pradesh-Rajasthan and yellow alert in 17 states.


The Char Dham Yatra which was stopped after the rain has resumed.

After heavy rains, the 24-hour ban on the Char Dham Yatra has been lifted. Garhwal Divisional Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey said on Monday that the District Magistrates of the districts falling on the Yatra route have been instructed to stop vehicles in view of the weather conditions.
