3 ISI‑linked terrorists with ties to Pakistani gangster Shahzad Bhatti arrested in Delhi; suspected connection to Red Fort blast

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Delhi Police Special Cell has foiled a major plot and arrested three suspected terrorists working at the behest of the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. This is being considered a major success for security agencies, as these three terrorists are said to be linked to the network of notorious Pakistani gangster Shahzad Bhatti. These arrests are being considered a significant turning point in the investigation into the recent Red Fort blast.
According to police sources, these three terrorists are residents of North India. They were arrested in separate operations in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Madhya Pradesh. While security agencies have not yet confirmed their direct links to Dr. Umar Un Nabi, the main accused in the Delhi bombings, the investigation is moving in that direction.
The Pakistani gangster named in the investigation, Shahzad Bhatti, is originally from Pakistan's Punjab province. He reportedly uses a Moroccan passport and currently operates his network from the UAE. Bhatti describes himself as a "soldier of Islam and Pakistan" on social media.
Shahzad Bhatti also has a history with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. He was previously a partner in arms smuggling with Bishnoi, but in 2025, they parted ways and became sworn enemies. Following the Pahalgam terror attack in April 2025 (in which 26 Hindu tourists were killed), Bishnoi threatened to attack Pakistan. In response, Bhatti threatened to reveal the "secrets" of the murders of Sidhu Moosewala (2022) and Baba Siddiqui (2024). Bhatti claims to have recordings of politicians, funding, and weapons sources.
