Al-Qaeda and ISIS terrorists kidnap five Indians, trigger global concern

Mali (The Uttam Hindu) – Jihadi terror has once again reached its peak in the West African country Mali. Terrorist organizations like Al-Qaeda and ISIS create an atmosphere of terror here every day. On Thursday, an armed terrorist kidnapped 5 Indians who were working in an electrification company. According to the security forces of Mali, the remaining staff of the company has been shifted to Bamako. The security forces are also investigating this matter. On the other hand, no terrorist organization has taken any responsibility in this matter.
Mali is currently under military rule. Terrorist attacks are frequent due to Al-Qaeda and ISIS. Mali is currently grappling with an economic crisis. Radical Islamic organizations and terrorists have imposed a fuel blockade.
Targeting foreigners is common in Mali. Radical groups often kill or kidnap foreigners. There was a coup in 2012, and peace has been seldom seen since. Just last month, militants kidnapped two Emiratis and an Iranian citizen. They were released after a ransom of $50 million was paid.
In Mali, terrorist and jihadist groups frequently kidnap people for ransom. They target foreign engineers and employees and then demand large sums of money from the company.
