Aligarh erupts: 'I Love Mohammed' graffiti on 5 temples sparks communal tension, FIR registered

Aligarh (The Uttam Hindu): Communal tensions erupted in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday when the old "I Love Mohammad" issue was rekindled. Miscreants painted "I Love Mohammad" on five temples in two villages in the Lodha area. Outrage erupted when villagers noticed the incident in the morning.
In protest, activists from the Karni Sena and other Hindu organizations arrived at the scene and created a ruckus. The protesters insisted on the immediate arrest of the accused. Upon receiving information, police from several police stations arrived at the scene and managed to pacify the crowd.
This incident occurred in the villages of Bulakgarhi and Bhagwanpur in the Lodha area. These words were written on two temples in Bulakgarhi and three temples in Bhagwanpur. When people arrived at the temples on Saturday morning, they saw them and became enraged.
Sachin, a Karni Sena worker from the village, arrived at the scene and informed other officials. When the police arrived and began erasing the graffiti, Sachin protested. The police then took him to the police station, further fueling public anger.
By then, senior Karni Sena official Gyanendra Singh Chauhan and others had arrived at the scene and started a commotion. They insisted on the arrest of the accused.
Upon receiving the information, Gabhana CO Sanjeev Kumar Tomar arrived with police from two police stations. He calmed the rioters, after which the graffiti was erased.
Following this, angry activists gathered at the police station and filed a written complaint naming several individuals. Gabhana CO Sanjeev Kumar Tomar stated that a case is being registered based on the complaint. Two teams have been deployed to search for the accused. The police claim that this conspiracy to disrupt social harmony will be exposed soon and no culprit will be spared.
