Raipur (The Uttam Hindu) - Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is on a three-day visit to Chhattisgarh. On Sunday, he held a review meeting with the Chhattisgarh government and officials in Raipur on anti-Naxal operations.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah wrote on the social media platform 'X', "Security centric strategy, infrastructure, attack on Naxal financial network and surrender policy have yielded positive results and Naxalism is going to be completely eliminated before this 31st March."

He further wrote that Chhattisgarh, once a stronghold of Naxalite violence, has become synonymous with development under the BJP's double-engine government. The youth here are promoting sports, forensics, and technical education while also preserving their culture and traditions. Held a review meeting in Raipur on various development projects in Chhattisgarh. Home Minister Amit Shah then participated in a national conclave titled "Chhattisgarh 25: Shifting the Lens," organized by Bharat Publications of the weekly magazine Organizer.

He said, "It is a coincidence that the President of the European Commission just said that when India succeeds globally, it not only benefits India but also contributes to global stability, prosperity, and security. Today's discussion here is focused on these three concepts: security, prosperity, and stability, which are crucial for any institution, nation, or state."

Taking aim at the Congress party, he said, "When the movements for Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, and Uttarakhand were taking place, the Congress government ruled the country for a long time. It was often said that the opposition had no pressing issues, so the idea of creating separate states was raised."

The Union Home Minister further said, "Many people consider governance to be merely an administrative process, but I have an example for them. In the last three decades, there have been two examples: one during the tenure of the BJP government led by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and the other during the UPA government led by Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. In both cases, states were reorganized."

The Union Home Minister will be visiting Bastar on February 9. He will attend the Bastar Pandum-2026 as the chief guest and conclude the event.
